POST CARE
Instructions
Proper aftercare is necessary to achieve the best results from the procedure. Please review the following directions and refer to them as necessary.

For swelling, Ibuprofen (such as Advil®) or Acetaminophen (such as Tylenol®) may be taken if needed.
Some itching is normal when it is healing. Do not pick, peel, or scratch the treated area or the color may become unevenly and the area may become infected during the healing process.
Do not expose the treated area to unsanitary conditions. Keep the treatment area lightly covered with a sealant, including at night, for a minimum of five days. A sealant is a product like Vaseline®, A & D® ointment, Bacitracin®, or Lanolin®. Keep the treatment area slightly moist with the sealant but do not over apply.
Avoid the following for seven days after the treatment:
-
Hot tubs, saunas, swimming pools and going to the beach
-
Direct sunlight and tanning beds
-
Direct shower spray on the treatment area
-
Skin creams and lotions other than a sealant
Please do not apply make-up close to or on the treated area until it is fully healed.
For long-term care, please avoid too frequent exposure of direct sunlight and tanning beds to the permanent makeup to reduce over fading. The use of sunblocks and sunscreens help.

Eyebrows
Everyone heals a little differently and the days won't be exact, but the following should give you an idea of the healing process after an eybrow procedure. In order to get the desired result, most people require a touch up.

Day 1: Brows will look detailed and crisp.

Day 2-3: Color may look darker than expected.
Days 4-5: Scabs begin to form and flake off. Please don't pick. This may create patchiness or scarring.
Days 5-7: Skin under scabs will appear lighter in color. Pigment may even seem to have disappeared, but be patient. The color should return day by day. This is normal!
Days 7-10: You will develop a new layer of skin over the procedure area.
Days 10-28: Color should change to a natural tone. After four weeks, if your brow color needs an adjustment or there are gaps in color, don’t worry. This is the reason for a touch up.

Eyeliner
The treatment area may be a little swollen. You may apply an ice pack to get the swelling down. You may resume wearing contact lenses as soon as your eyes return to their pre-treatment condition.
Lips
The treatment area may be a little swollen. If you are having problems with cold sores, fever blisters, or mouth ulcers, please consult with your healthcare provider.
For a few days after the procedure, your lips will be very dry. Please keep your lips moist with a sealant and clean until healed.
The color will come and go as the natural collagen in your body heals the lips and the natural exfoliating process is occurring. It is normal not to see how much color was achieved until 4 weeks have passed.
Note: In the unlikely event that you get an infection, contact your healthcare provider.
